Is this the optional HD three speed in my 67 ?
I pulled the cab off of the frame today and found this. I just assumed there was a Saginaw three speed behind the six-cylinder but such is not the case. Can someone ID this transmission and tell me if it is the upgrade three speed?

it looks like a Borg warner tranny
And Boogie woogies were the HD option in 67? So my guess is yes thats the HD tranny option. |

It's a warner T 89 three speed. Everything about it sure looks original to me.

Re: Is this the optional HD three speed in my 67 ?
I actually plan to replace it with a Saginaw three speed overdrive option that could be original to the truck. I just assumed it would have a Saginaw and be a direct replacement. The Borg Warner transmission does not use the slip yoke has the Saginaw does so I'll have to replace the driveshaft. The downside with the Borg Warner is it does not have a synchronized first gear.
