Front Fender Seal Kit?

Whats the purpose of this seal? Would you recommend installing them? Does it help with rust prevention, etc. ?

I have only seen the seal's in the catalog's but am guessing that it only quiets down the meatl to metal noise????? Were our truck's even equipped with em from the factory???

As I understand it, cheyennes and the like had them.

Not sure though. I've seen them on several junked trucks.

In catalogs they're listed as dust seals/shields. I've never seen them on a all orig truck though. Maybe to keep dust from entering the vent cowl drain holes???
