IFS front track width questions

Been searching for an IFS front kit, stumbled on a kit where they gave you a choice between front track widths. I guess they are changing it with control arm length.

Here are some questions to everyone who has IFS.

1.What looks the best.
2.Can this choice change if you need spacers.
3.If using the stock frame, what is the track width to the center of the tire?

Thanks for any input. I like this look , just trying to figure out how to get there.

Re: IFS front track width questions

Desert, hope this info might help your out.

I have a MII IFS, with 2" dropped spindles, got my brake kit from Engineering Compotents Inc. (or ECI brakes). (heres a link to their site (http://www.ecihotrodbrakes.com/musta...nversions.html They offer two brake kits for the MII.

Kit EC722 does not move the wheel out.

Kit EC730 moves the wheel out 3/4" per wheel or 1-1/2" overall, this is the kit I've used on several cars, and I buy their complete kit.

My 50 chevy pickup runs 16"X7" wheels with 4" BS, and a 215/60/16 tires. Tire is 26.1" tall and the section width is 8.7"

My track width is 59" center of tire to center of tire.

I have 1-1/4" clearance from tire face to inside lip of fender.

I don't have air bags, just a static drop.

If I can help anymore just ask...Jim

Re: IFS front track width questions

Forgot to show a pic of my wheel, tire combo. I believe the pic you showed is running a larger wheel...Jim
