big block stock suspension

I was wondering if anyone out there has a 73-87 truck with a big block and stock suspension/tires/etc. could do me a favor and measure from the ground up to the bottom of the pinch welds on your cab. Mine did not have a motor/trans in it when I got it and just wondering how much room do I have before it hits the pavement?

The control arms will hit the ground long before the pinch will.

Well, thanks, but that doesn't answer my question. If anyone "actually " has the answer to my question I would appreciate it.

I have a Stock 1985 C20 Silverado 454 Suburban. Where would you like measurements taken from. Not sure what you mean by Pinch welds.

Educated guess, 13.5 inches the hub cap is typically centered on the pinch and a 27'' tire.

I've never had a stock one long enough to measure.

Thanks Grady. Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I have moved way past that point on my build now, so it's irrelevant. Thanks anyways.

thanks. I mainly needed to know how much the bottom of the cab "drooped" over the front cab mount and whether or not I needed to trim the bottom of it off. Anyhow, I trimmed mine off and now the rockers (not bottom of pinch weld) sit on the ground.
I've never had a stock one long enough to measure.
