Disc brake upgrade bearing question

Trying to finish up my brake upgrade on my 64. I have a crossmember from a 85 C10. Using the stock spindles (1.25 shaft) and 6 lug rotors from cpp. My question is which bearings to use. The A5 set fit the rotor but too big on the spindle shaft. The A6 set fit he spindle shaft but too small for the rotor. Thanks for any help.

Re: Disc brake upgrade bearing question

Did those spindles originally have 1" thick rotors or the 1.250" thick rotors?

Re: Disc brake upgrade bearing question

I agree with Captainfab, those years have two different spindles. A light duty and heavy duty. I think that started around '81 or so. Everything earlier would be the heavy duty ones and most of the companies making stuff are using the heavy duty versions.

You need to figure out what spindle you have.

Re: Disc brake upgrade bearing question

Thanks for the replies. I found out the donor truck had 1 inch rotors so I got some different spindles ordered. Thanks again.
