Need help with part identification. Not sure where this goes. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

It is a shim for the rear inner fender bolt, the one with the BIG washer on it. It fits between the front inner fender and the cab. The tab and slot is so it can be installed after the bolt is started.

I had to pull down the Dvr side fender skirt to get to the heater core. I didn't see one. I've had the doghoouse apart for an engine swap and never came across one. Must be ''as needed''.

They must of had quite a gap. This thing is about 3/8 of an inch thick. I'll see what happens when it goes back to together. Maybe someone else will have a picture of one coming apart.

Yes, as needed. There are different thicknesses of them. If you have a big gap between the inner fender panel and the cab and just pull it together by tightening up the bolt it would put a lot of stress on the sheet metal on that side. There may not be any pictures because most people don't realize they are there until they remove that bolt and the shim falls on the floor. Then they say "where in the world did that come from"...
