15mm bolt for Belltech shock?
Hi Guys,
I'm getting close to putting together the rear suspension and when I took my shocks to the fastener store to size up replacement bolts for the lower shock mount they said it would require a 15mm (diameter of the bolt). Which they didn't carry. They put another bolt in but there was a touch of play within the lower shock bushing, and they recommended against any play. It would be nice if Belltech included these bolts in the kit ![]() Has anyone else run into this? Does anyone have a source (preferably Canadian) for 15mm shock bolts? I've been searching and haven't found anything yet. I tried the original shock bolts and there is way too much play. Thanks guys

Thanks Sweet,
So a little play is OK? We were concerned that it would break the bushing over time. Yeah I'm having a hell of time finding them.

Re: 15mm bolt for Belltech shock?
the bolt pinches the mount tight to the steel bushing in the shock and this is the point its good to go .

Quote:
You need a new fastener store. Try either a 9/16 or 5/8'' (probably 9/16, which will have a little bit of play). 15mm=.590-----9/16=.562----5/8=.625. Or call Belltech and ask them what's up |

Re: 15mm bolt for Belltech shock?
kw yeah they tried a 9/16 but there was a touch of play.
Belltech was useless when I called them- when I noticed the bolts weren't included. They said use the originals - we don't include those bolts. The store I bought them from recommended I grab the 9/16 bolt size go to a metal place and see if they have a thicker walled tube to insert into the bushing to remove the slop. Sweet I get what your saying about the bolt pinching in but I imagine the slop in the bolt would still allow some play and over time get worse.
