Alternator getting jumpy.
My alternator guage (69 C-10) is jumping back and forth slightly from the middle line of the guage. Additionally, my lights will flutter a bit with that jump when just starting the engine and will "smooth out" after warmimg up. Turn signals make it jump as well. What should I be looking at here?
Thanks! |

Ground strap first. If that doesn't clear things up, its likely that you will have to go loose connection hunting.

Could be voltage regulator also. Take your alternator off and take it to a reputable parts store and they can bench test it for you, if it passes, replace the reg.
