Lowering front end by removing leafs
Hi all,
So here's my current setup. Shortbed K10 frame with skyjacker 2.5" lift springs off a K20 and 2" blocks in the rear. Dana 44 front axle and an Eaton HO52 rear axle. Truck is used strictly as a weekend cruiser, no hauling or off roading. Currently my truck sits perfectly level which I think looks kind of goofy. Without extending the driveshaft I can't get any more lift out of the rear, plus the 33" tires would look dumb with that much lift. Seems like my only option is to lower the front end. Can I just take a leaf out of each front spring pack? There are 4 leafs in each pack, will 3 be enough to support the weight of a BBC? What issues, if any, would I run into if I simply removed the bottom leafs? About how much drop would that achieve? Thanks, JMD
