4x4 hub caps
Tried this in 4x4 forum but I think it was wrong.
I have rally style 6 lug 4x4 wheels on my C10. They came with 'homemade' hubcaps which bolted to the wheel. Latest balance/rotation caused one to disappear in NC mountains. What kind of hubcaps can I get to replace them. The wheels don't have nubs for a cap to pop on - they are smooth. The wheels are drilled between each stud hole which was used to bolt on my caps. I don't know if this is original or not. I would appreciate any ideas. |

Re: 4x4 hub caps
Here are what my rally hub caps look like. They are just stock 73 and up rally canter caps.

Re: 4x4 hub caps
We would need to know what type of hub cap you lost. Can you show pictures of how these homemade jobs were mounted? The factory center caps just screw on with 3 screws into tapped holes in the wheel.

Re: 4x4 hub caps
They look close to oem ones. Do they have a hex head on them?

Re: 4x4 hub caps
Yes - the 'top tier' appears as a hex nut.

Re: 4x4 hub caps
Those are interesting. I can tell you the back half is the front cap of a k10. The nut part looks to be from an impala? But a non-OEM. I attached some pictures to compare. Your hex part looks taller but that might be because of the angle.

Re: 4x4 hub caps
I guess someone did this to close up the open front center caps. I guess they didn't have the OEM tap screws so they did a through bolt from behind with a nut outside? These can stay on to remove the wheel, BTW. Looks like you need to find the GM center caps. You have the option of using later 6-lug center caps if you prefer

Re: 4x4 hub caps
American Racing had a center cap that was similar to that too.

Re: 4x4 hub caps
Am I reading that the GM or American racing center cap will snap into the opening on a 4x4 front 'bolt on cap'?
Like one of these https://www.gmpartscenter.net/oe-gm/...FRQdgQodSA4LJQ Thanks |

Re: 4x4 hub caps
Were these caps only on the front? The easiest solution is to find another set of the rears. Could you take a picture of the back of the cap? I want to see how they attached it.

Re: 4x4 hub caps
No rush. The center cap you linked wont fit but I can't be 100% sure. I get a measurement from mine and see what fits.
