Hatch hinge grommet help

I have a 71 k5. I removed the hatch to replace the gasket around the entire outside edge. I also removed the grommets at the hinges both on the hatch and roof side. I have purchased new grommets from several different vendors. They look correct for the hatch side but not the roof side. Does anyone manufacture the roof side grommet? I am saying grommet because they are the style that push into a hole not the one with 2 screws. Any help will be welcome

Re: Hatch hinge grommet help

Any pics of new and old gaskets/grommets? There are two styles of the hatch side grommets/gaskets. I thought the top side gaskets were all the same and similar to one of the two hatch styles. Pic shows the differing hatch styles.

Re: Hatch hinge grommet help

The black ones are new and the white ones are off the top side of the hinges. There is a narrow and wide side if I put the narrow side up the bevel on the inside is going in the wrong direction if I put the narrow side down it will not fit. As u can see the old ones also have an extra boss not sure if that matters?

Re: Hatch hinge grommet help

Update: I installed the new grommets with the wide side up. They fit fine and the hinges slide in with a lot of dish soap. Everything is good, I guess I was over thinking it thanks for all the input.

Re: Hatch hinge grommet help

Good to know thanks for the update. I'm curious if the style that makes use of the retainer and two screws is reproduced: I have a single wall top here that has this style on both the hatch and top sides and a double wall that used the two screw style on at least the top side.
