vent window latch

What brand has a good quality vent latch ? I see lmc,goodmark,oer. and im sure there are more. Has anyone had good or bad luck with any. Thanks for the help.

I maybe wrong, but they all probably come from the same manufacturer and then label it accordingly. I have run across that with other parts. That way they feel they can mark up the price for the same exact part.

I believe good mark makes a lot of those products. i may be wrong

OK ,thanks for the reply , i figured as much. they range from $8 to $40. I know the help ones from local parts stores are junk. I would pay for a better one but dont want to give $20 a piece and get the same thing as the 8 ones.

Call each of the vendors and ask who the manufacturer is, then you'll know. But if the OER is the one that is not the same as the others, I would go with them. I have gotten other aftermarket parts from OER, and they are very close to OEM. I wish I could say one way or the other on the vent latches. I just happen to find a set of OEM/NOS set and got those. I couldn't pass on the price.

thanks tkcr. those seem to look the best as far as internet pics go. i will ask my glass guy and order something as soon and as i get my glass back and post some pics.

Ordered 2 complete vent window assemblies from lmc, along with the handles (my vents were rusted through....) my only problem with them is they come with a lot of extra crap to accommodate every model (hope that was the reason any way.) They work well and look great. Be sure to use a rag to cover the handle when putting in the roll pin. I made a dumb mistake and didn't on one side. Small scratch on it, not that it really matters.

Oem latch was on back order so I went with goodmark, 1/2 price of oem. They look & fit good, has all the pieces you need & extra. Will try to post pics
