Original mufflers worth saving?
Mostly sure these are original. A tailpipe broke off one of these, maybe 15 years ago. The guy who welded a new one on said the pipe on the muffler had worn thin. I think that was the message, anyway. Multiple choice
![]() A. Throw them away with the pipes. B. Save the mufflers because? C. Save the mufflers just to have them, knowing they'll never be used and storage is at a premium. Curious what's loose in the mufflers. Seems similar a ball valve, but I'm probably way off.

Not much in the way of rust here, but doesn't mean you're wrong. To me that means dump material.

Re: Original mufflers worth saving?
The gravel they are sitting on is worth more than the mufflers.

Re: Original mufflers worth saving?
C because you know you're a hoarder. LOL
Throw them away. At some point old mufflers might have some value to weird people but space is a premium. That said I just bought two more old metal gas cans because... A). I love vented gas cans and the EPA banned those in 2004. B). I love metal gas cans. C). A goal is to have 50 gallons of fuel on hand for the next Derecho that hits. |

Re: Original mufflers worth saving?
Post 'em up on Craigslist as a pair of used duals for $25-$30. They will sell.
That gets them out into the 'recycled' world and sure beats throwing them into the garbage. Besides.....$30 Beer money is beer money!...maybe even bbq money....lol. all Good Coley

Re: Original mufflers worth saving?
You guys are hilarious. I'm leaning toward post 6. If that fails, then post 4. Thanks for the responses.
