Re: Serpentine Belt

I bought this March setup about 15 years ago. Just got the engine started for the for fist time last fall. There seems to be some minor vibrations issues. Nothing that can't be fixed. Just waiting to get the truck back from painting so I can work on it.

Re: Serpentine Belt

Pull a complete setup from a wrecking yard for less than $100. Looks and works great.

Re: Serpentine Belt

The serpentine belt setups from 89-95 5.7, 5.0 and 4.3 will work just fine and are readily available and local salvage yards. Make sure to get a reverse flow fan and water pump because the factory belt will spin the water pump pulley backward from what your truck was. Don't forget the pulley for the dampener and power steering pump while you are searching. Higher output alternator was nice to add while I did mine. Pictures were from before I did the 5.3 4l60e swap. I was very amazed how much different the engine sounded after the upgrade.
