day late as usual. lol.
saw this awesome piece of history on the Frederick md craigslist. 1947 chevy step van service truck. was a local truck from Hagerstown. I missed it by a day the guy sold it for 2k said he was amazed how fast it sold. I would have been all over it. heres the only pic. anyone ever seen another like it? 10 lug axles 20 inch rims. sweet rig.

I looked that and some other cool old trucks that crane(?) company had at our local antique truck show a few years back. It had an old arc welding rig and all set-up in the back.It's a Boyertown body, I'm pretty sure. Cool stuff! They knew their trucks, ordered them right, took care of them, and they are still around after all the years.
I couldn't find a picture of the StepVan but here is an F350 of theirs next to a tractor (Autocar?) of theirs:

**** so I guess it may have even run a few years back. Wow I saw it and said I got to have this and called the guy he was like why is the ad still up it sold I less than 24 hours of me posting it. I was like ****. It looked super solid. I wonder who bought it. Keep an eye out at your shows to see if it stayed in the area.
