5x5 Axle redrill stud hole diameter
Yes I realize they are 1/2 thread, but what is the exact size of holes to be drilled into the axle please.
I do remember some old Chevys had stepped 7/16" studs, the hole was bigger

If you do not have the specs for the studs, you will have to measure the knurl OD and then give yourself .003" or so press fit

Re: 5x5 Axle redrill stud hole diameter
I think when you get the studs it will show you what drill to use.I am working a 1961 impala and it has 7/16 studs.I need to drill for 1/2 because i am going with 20 inch wheels.
