Best Bedsides?

Helping a guy who just got a really rusty 63. Does anyone sell decent complete bedsides(which would line up with original lines), and not beer can on him? He's got the skills to make the front and back panels work, but would prefer one piece, preferably factory. Would he be better off finding a good pickup bed? Thanks!

Re: Best Bedsides?

You would likely have gotten a better response if you had posted this in the '60-'66 discussion section instead of the '60-'66 Suburban and Panels section.

Does your friend have a short fleet or long fleetside. The aftermarket recently released both the short and long fleetside bedsides. All of the feedback I have read on them is good. Most all of the big name truck parts suppliers offer them.

Re: Best Bedsides?

Thanks, Captain Fab. I should have added that the bedside would be to patch a Suburban. I also seem to recall that Raybuck got good ratings. Maybe Dynacorn as well?

Re: Best Bedsides?

Something else I just remembered-it would have to be a shortbed side, since the suburban uses the shortbed frame and has the smaller wheelwells.

Re: Best Bedsides?

A reproduction short fleet bedside is $650-700. Depending on just what part of the side you need, you can buy patch panels that are about 6" up from the bottom edge and up and over the wheel opening.

I don't know anything about Raybuck. I don't know if they are still in business. I do not know if Dynacorn offers the bedsides or the patch panels.

Raybuck has them for about $595.
