86 Crew Cab Short Bed
Hey everyone, been a member for a little while but mostly lurk and read stuff here and there. I'm finally getting to a place with my project that I thought it might be worthy of posting a few pics. Been working on this one for a little over a year and half, with a bunch of help from my nephew that also has a crew cab square body long bed. Started as a a CCSB step side roller with a transmission in it. Wanted the quad headlight look so the doors, and front clip were taken from a 90 Suburban along with the motor, and the bed came off an 86 GMC C-10. We got it running about a year ago, but I've been spending all the rest of the time updated a few things here and there and replacing a bunch of of the "wear and tear" items as the previous owner rode this poor truck hard and put it away wet most of the time. It's no show truck, but what I would call a solid "20 footer". LOL Anyway, a square body crew short bed has always been my dream truck and it's finally becoming a reality. Been a long road, and I'd thought about selling it a few times when I would get frustrated during the build but now I'm glad I didn't. Got WAY too much in now to ever get back out of it now so.. I guess it'll be with me forever. LOL

That is a very nice looking truck you have there. You can sure sink a lot in one for sure. I have a pile in my 76 too. I was going to part it out but I couldn't bring myself to do it just yet.

That looks real nice. I am getting close to starting my project soon. Nearing the end of the parts gathering. Joe
