Blazer Gas Tank

I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU GUYS

I AM BUILDING A SHORT BED FLEETSIDE PICKUP 71' AND WANT TO GET THE TANK OUT FROM BEHIND THE SEAT, DO YOU KNOW IF A BLAZER TANK WILL WORK IN THIS APPLICATION WITH SOME MODIFICATIONS. I APPRECIATE ANY INFO

I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A 2WD BLAZER IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE ONE IS THAT IS IN PROJECT FORM OR IS REASONABLE IN PRICE.

Lots of guys have blazer tanks under thier beds. Do a search in the 67-72 Message board. Several of the vendors sell them as a kit for pickups. Wes at Classic Heartbeat has instructions on his web site on how to put the filler neck behind the side marker lights. (http://www.ClassicHeartbeat.com/mark...t_gas_door.htm)

Yes, the blazer tank will work, should be several detailed posts on this.
I have (2) 2 wheel drive blazers I will be selling this spring/summer, they are on the East coast, NJ.
1. 71/72 blazer 2 wheel drive, none running drivetrain, very rough project, no title, $1100.
2. 72 2 wheel drive blazer. One owner until last Nov. when I bought it. Very original 350/auto no air. Runs and drives fine. Problem is rust. Needs rocker boxes, rockers & complete windshield frame including post on left side. I have a replacement windshield frame & one rocker box that goes with it. $ 3700. I will have pictures next week if your interested.
Both located in central NJ.
