Brake lines?

What brake line did you use? Steel, stainless or Nicopp. Also did you buy sections or rolls of line?

I used Nicopper. Bought 25' of 3/16" and 10' of 1/4" from a local hydraulic hose shop for my 67 'Burban. For more information on fittings you can check my thread below.

my own truck i just used regular steel...i bought a premade stainless line for across the rear (i think from LMC) cause it would be more visible...not only wasnt it shaped correctly, i had to tighten that thing a ridiculous amount to get it to stop leaking (new wheel cylinders)....recently plumbed a customers 1940 Diamond T pickup with nicopp...looked more period correct, as parts of this truck were done in regular copper (scarey)....this thing had a hydrovac halfway down the drivers side on the frame rail so the longest line on the truck was 6 foot....when i priced a roll and the separate fittings it was cheaper to buy the lines individually at advance and just shorten one end... the premade lines had black fittings on the ends but the loose ones were all different colors according to size...nicopp is softer than steel so it bends and flares easily, but in larger sizes (this truck was all 1/4 and 5/16) the softness can be problematic as certain benders will allow it to bend and kink outside the shoe of the bender so it really needs to be forced down into it....had to buy a roll of 5/16 for the fuel line and if you stand the roll on its edge on the floor and roll it with a little care it seems to unroll pretty flat...that had been another concern with using it off a roll...didnt feel like spending the money for a tube straightener at over 200 bucks
