What is this and where does it go?

Dumb question... Where does this tube bolt to? I'm pretty sure it is supposed to protect the wiring that runs to the starter but I can't for the life of me figure out where exactly or how it bolts up. Can someone help me out with a picture cause I can't figure it out.

Yes it's a heat shield for the starter wiring. It's been a while but I'm fairly sure the one end goes on the bottom bell housing bolt, I can't quite remember exactly where the smaller end goes... But it just slips over a stud on the starter I believe (with no nut on it). So you'd slip it on the stud, then bolt the bell housing end on.


I could be wrong on the specifics, but if you line it up with that bottom bolt on the bell housing you'll figure it out. If you have headers it may not fit.
