Can Someone ID This Fan?

If I recall correctly, I found it uninstalled in one of our trucks. It's a little too big for a small block shroud.

Thanks!

Hey, Fan, let me see your ID.

Haha, couldn't help myself.

It wouldn't tell me, i guess you will have to wait for someone who isn't a smart @ss for the correct info.

Any markings or numbers on either the fan or clutch? Without that, its pretty much a shot in the dark.

Re: Can Someone ID This Fan?

.........Always been a REALLY BIG FAN !!! ... of these 7 blade fans. I have 'em on both of my trucks... little smaller diameter though. Both trucks have SB sized shrouds. Don't know what yours came on but Advance, Oreilly and others have different diameter blades & replacement clutches and they aren't expensive.

Both my trucks have A/C and I don't have heating problems in central FL.

Re: Can Someone ID This Fan?

Looks like a standard HD 19" 7 blade fan fitted to most AC equipped 70 on Chevy's....and GMC's...both cars and trucks.

Never been a BIG FAN of anything other than Chevy's and GMC's

Not much. It's stamped TX1 on the back. The front is stamped FRONT (duh) above the hole and H below the hole. The clutch appears to be the same as I recall being original to my truck and says STORE THIS FACE DOWN on the front. Clutch feels nice an tight as it should be.

I does appear to be a FANtastic fan.

Re: Can Someone ID This Fan?

I thought it might be for the 67-72 big block application but advance says no. Then i changed search to a 75 big block c30 application and still no. 19 1/2" is big. My 5 blade OE small block fan is 18". How large is the fan opening in a 67-72 big block fan shroud?

Re: Can Someone ID This Fan?

Hey tlman,

Make sure you have a thermostat in place...leaving it out results in the water flowing too fast through the radiator for it to cool correctly.

Just a suggestion...stay safe and KOOL...
