Project Renagade:1969 C20
Well I am starting a 1969 Chevy c20. I have a 450HP 383 stroker on the way should arrive soon. This project I Suspect will take a few years With me being disabled and my Son going to college and only having time here and there.
I know I will have many questions of the Community since a lot of you are expert and I am a novice at best. The Body of the truck is in decent condition. I picked it up from a guy who had to many Projects and he became disabled last year. the Driver side has rust on the back panel because he had it striped and failed to primer it for about a year. We striped the cab inside of mostly everything and found the passenger side had some rust due to the bottom panel partly coming undone. The guy had put all new carpet down and new dash and a new seat but failed to weld or fill like 50 wholes in the bottom of the cab there is small Cancer in the bottom. My question is do i do a cut out or use Por 15 on the bottom of the cab. I am sure I will have a lot more questions. The Bed and the cab will be pulled in a few weeks. Here are some pictures on the cab floor. most of what you see is dirt I will post more tomorrow |

Re: Project Renagade:1969 C20
It looks like you bought a good solid truck. Now that you have used the acid etch make sure you neutralize it before you prime and paint. Now me I like looking at rust that's why I have such a large collection. But some of the other folks around these parts will want photos from farther away showing the big picture.
Welcome aboard.

The engine coming out only has about 17k on it from what the paperwork the guy showed me but I want a 383 in it. Last edited by ThePunisher67; 08-18-2017 at 10:14 AM. Reason: typing |
