GMC 305A v6 Oil pan bolts torque spec
I've checked the manuals and searched this site and nothing popped up...
I tightened to 12 ft. lbs. (SBC oil pan torque) and that made the new cork gasket squeeze out the sizes. Would it be 7 ft. lbs. or something more in that range? I'm going to have to peel the old gasket off and clean my mess up and try again with a new gasket. :-/ Thanks, Scott |

AP, you're right the manual does not list a spec.
(how strange) It only states to "tighten evenly and firmly" so I think you have it about right.

Looked in my manual and could not find a spec ether. Sung and even sounds right, wouldn't hurt to use some silicon to for sealing.
