It would seem the small buts go through the hole in the centre of the rectangular buts but how do they go together on the hood?

Re: Hood Rubber Stops

Is that the bumpers for the front or rear of the hood? If they are the rears, they are riveted. Fronts are screwed on.

Front. The rears are already riveted back in place.

Re: Hood Rubber Stops

I've never seen round ones for the rear of the hood. Mine were a rectangular fiber type that riveted to each side.

I never could figure out what the round ones are for, I'm sure someone else here knows.

Re: Hood Rubber Stops

My fronts use the screws with the hour glass type head on it.
Rears are riveted.
Those round ones, no idea. I just replaced mine and had the front, rear, and those round ones in the kit.

Re: Hood Rubber Stops

The rear are pop riveted in place though the new ones are rubber, not fiber as the originals were.

I think I will just rivet in the front as well, seems a whole lot easier.

Got a set of the clutch head bits from LMC or Classic Parts a while ago. Actually not used them yet!

I guess the round ones will remain a mystery.
