Rebuilding the carb on my '66
I want to order a carb kit (gaskets and jets) for my 2G 2-barrel carb. Anyone know what size jets are in the stock carb? I would like to know this and where I can find smaller jets for my hi-altitude use.
Thanks in advance... |

You might try Sean Murphy Induction. They do Q-Jets and 2G's for racing and high performance street use. They have a website.

Man, you're braver than me! I just buy professionally rebuilt Carbs as every one I have attempted to rebuild has never worked again!

They generally come with .055 jets. The size is stamped on the jets. The carb kit can be bought at any parts store. I dought if you will need to change the jet size.

Ha, ha! I DO know what you mean. They are pretty easy to make a mess of and then throw in that "next time" basket. I go in very slow and I'm always prepared to retreat at any time! Once you've been all the way through a few times it gets easier. Can't use a big hammer, that's for sure!...slim
