Vent Window
So I went to rebuild the vent windows the other day and found that the frame that holds the glass on the passenger side has rusted thru and is about to break off. I have been searching for a new frame with no luck. Has any one repaired one of these with any luck since it is basically a c-channel and would be impossible to grind the weld inside the channel. I don't have a pic as I am at work but I can later tonight.

Re: Vent Window
Do a search in the for sale section for one or better become a supporting member and post a want to buy in the sale section. I am pretty sure what you need is available through the guys here.

Re: Vent Window
Thanks for the reply's fellas, I am not looking to replace the entire assembly. Not in the budget. Paulspickupparts sounds like a good way to go. Mine is a 1964 LWBSS. This is my first truck tht I bought when I was 14. 22 years ago now and the second rebuild after a lady rana stop sign.

Re: Vent Window
I have complete ones for $50 that would need the channel fuzzy and new rubber . You may be interested in this one which has damage to the channel but a good glass frame . If you can used your vertical post and outer frame this might save you a few bucks . Price on one shown in pics is $35

Re: Vent Window
I imagine with a little care that dent can be taken out or very close to it.

Re: Vent Window
I was able to get a shipping quote . It would be $14 delivered . So the total is $35 plus $14 shipping. The total would be $49 . Paypal is fine .
