Ignition problems?

Having an issue with my 62 C20 not turning off the ignition when I turn the key to off. All the electrics stay on even with the key in the off in the off position. It happened to me twice before, but when I drove the truck and parked it again it worked fine.... Just now it hasn't been turning off for the past four days. How would I check for a short? Should I suspect the ignition switch and relay?

I'm thinking it's either a short or the switch.... So I bought one from Napa. Let's pray to the classic car gods that it's just the switch and I won't have to go chasing wires.

Re: Ignition problems?

Do you have a voltage regulator or an internal voltage regulator in the alternator?

I'm assuming internal, because I don't see a regulator.
