WTB Leaf spring Rear End
I'm looking for a Leaf spring Rear End for my sons 72 GMC 1/2 ton short step. It needs to be complete with springs , not to picky about gear ratio. Needs to be in Ca so I can pick up. Any body know where I might find one in the Bay area ?? I'm in Pittsburg Ca and willing to travel ~100 miles for it as long as its in good working condition

I've got a rolling chassis from a 67 GMC w/12 bolt, 6-lug, leaf spring rear & have the leafs. I'm in Tx so if you don't have any luck closer to home......

I believe the spring perches are different widths for 2 wheel drive compared to 4 x 4. You may want to list which one you have.

Yea, I know I'm far away. I just thought I would toss this out there JIC you couldn't find anything closer.

Currently the rear-housing & springs are still attached to the the rolling chassis which @ this time still needs to be able to roll. If you can't find anything in the near future, drop me a PM.

Dont want to get your hopes up but I will have one when I change my rear end out. Its a 4:11 posi leaf rear out of my 70 short/step. When I get it changed I will have to use my springs so there wont be any with the rear when I do change it. I dont see myself getting to do it for at least a month. I had to find what I was looking for in Wash state. Didnt find much around here. I was looking for a 3:07 posi and found it but its for coil so I will have to change over the rear to leafs. I will use new perches and shock mounts so I wont be hacking anything off of mine, so it will be complete less springs. Hope this might help you. BTW, I'm in stockton....less than an hour from you.
