Re: Aftermarket Hood

I was at classic parts on 2-16-17 and was going to buy one of these hoods to avoid shipping cost, but they didn't have them in stock yet...

I believe its Unlimited products. Its 18 years old.. clears a blower and 2' air cleaner, just barely.

Re: Aftermarket Hood

It's strong, the fit isn't the greatest. Seems a little narrow overall. I'll pm some pictures tomorrow.

Re: Aftermarket Hood

I'm unable to post photos for some reason. It's about 1/2" narrow. 3/16-1/4" on either side of the hood to the cab. Like I said it's an old hood. Maybe the figment has improved over the years.

Did you get your hood? I'm trying to decide if I should fix the one I have or spend the money on a new one. Interested to see what you think of the fit.

Re: Aftermarket Hood

Like all repro sheet metal, it's Chinese. Nothing is made here. All truck suppliers will be carrying it.

Re: Aftermarket Hood

Bringing this back up again. Not clear by the conversation if you ever got your hood. Looks like two different conversations at once by the end. If you got it, how did it fit? Pictures?

Re: Aftermarket Hood

I also figured someone that has a repo hood would be posting something about them by now, good or bad......LOL maybe they too busy cutting them up to make them fit.....

Re: Aftermarket Hood

I started a thread on this previously after this one got a few pages back. Never got a review. Nsane Hot Rodz said he had used them and there were pictures on his Instagram and web site. I looked and only found one picture of the hood alone off the truck and one taken from the front where you could not see the actual fit with the rest of the truck. He never would post any here.
