66 C20 Wheels on a 69 C20?

Anyone know of any reason these wouldn't fit a 69 C20?

"Chevy 8 lug steel 17.5" wheels from a 1966 Chevrolet C20 pickup. 6" wide 8 lug x 6.5 bolt pattern, 4.25" backspace"

From what I could find they should fit OK, but if anyone knows why they wouldn't and let me know by noon tomorrow it would save me a 2 hour drive to buy them! They are only $50 for all 4 so even if they don't fit, I think it is probably worth a shot...

Thanks!

They are just like new sneakers. You must try them on for size! Then you will know if they look like what you want.

Yes, they fit. Keep in mind 69-type caps won't fit. Pictured below, the ones I have stashed and I believe the cherry one is either Yelmer's or OEM4ME's 66. If just gonna run the wheels with no caps, no issue. $50 is a steal, these aren't that common anymore - especially with clips intact. Also keep in mind that even though they are 6" wide, as are many of the later years, being 17.5s makes it look like a VERY skinny tire on the truck. A look I like, but also one that I (personally) think is slightly more suited to the 60-66 style. That's my 2c only though. They are cool wheels and I have them in my barn for a future project of the earlier era.

Thanks all. I was thinking they might look a little skinny but for $50 even if I hate them I figured they would be worth picking up. I'm heading out there now to meet with the guy.

I was wondering about the caps and good to know they are hard to find, thanks maybe they will just stay naked until I can get something proper for the '69.

'68-earlier 3/4-1t caps work going back into the '50s. There are the ones with that are baby moons with Chevrolet stamped in that would look pretty good. I'm on the other end. I had a cherry set of '68 GMC caps I need a set of wheels for. I'm hoping to find a set of 16.5 x 8.25 clip-style 8-luggers to mount 9.50s on

Good point Tim. A set of 67-68 C20 clip caps would look much more at home on a 69 than the 60-66 caps. Hard to find those too. Wait a minute, it's getting hard to find everything and, when you do, prices are sky high! Wait, sorry, I guess that doesn't cheer anyone up.

Well these wheels should probably go in the 'Craigslist finds' thread but I don't want to start another thread for the same thing
They really are a steal, 50 bucks and some driving and I have 4 straight and undamaged wheels, all with the clips intact. I'm going to look forward to cleaning them up and painting them. They came free with cracked tires that hold air, so I'll mount one side and see what they look like before I spend anymore time or money... but I bet I will like them.
