If you can make it out to a junkyard with some old vans ('65-'69) vintage they have the same if not close to the same air cleaner.

I have an air cleaner that came off my 70 c30 292. It's sturdier looking than the one in picture. I have but cannot find the part that sits on carb. Don't remember if it had power brakes. What does that have to do with the air cleaner. Does it have a vac line or something on it

6 cyl power brake air cleaners sit on the passenger side like in the picture to clear the booster, a regular non power air cleaner sits on top of the carb..

Pound41, you have one of those goofy 6-cyl air cleaners available? That would be awsome. I actually have one of the tubes/sleeves that sits on top of the carb so that should not be a big deal if yours is missing. I need one to complete a poewr brake conversion on my 68 C10. Do you have the ability to post or send me a pix?
The air cleaner is unique because it is offset to the passenger side of the motor to allow clearance for the power brake booster. If your 292 had a single barrell carb I'd say it would fit just fine. |
