shortbox quandry

Found a 68 GMC shortbox........cab good, fenders Ok stepside box not soo good (don't want) owner took everything apart and now wants to sell it. No bolts to get frame back together which is a big pain to reassemble as I need roller to store. Comes with Inline 6 and auto 350 trans. Canadian GM so no identifying numbers in VIN and glove box is missing for model number. Frame is short box and uncut. Thoughts (1500 Cdn is price)

If I were looking for a project and had the room I would probably look at that pretty seriously.

Re: shortbox quandry

That's a good price considering the amount of short boxes we have in the area, especially if it's a real swb.

Re: shortbox quandry

If you don't end up getting it could you PM me ? I am looking for something like that. There is nothing around here with a decent cab and short wheelbase is the big bonus.

Sounds good.I hope your wife will approve or at least gets used to it. My wife never approves but so far she has gotten over it in a few days. Good luck!

Re: shortbox quandry

Went through it:
rust free cab, doors good, 350 trans, great frame, 12 bolt rear, front disc brakes
