Re: bagged isuzu 47-54 ad swap
For anyone in the peanut gallery that wants to blow a gasket w/ "Isuzu?!?"...its a rebadged S10...but you all knew that.
Welcome sikwidit! You should be able to find most of your answers in the S10 how to thread. I linked it for convenience: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=632686 |

Re: bagged isuzu 47-54 ad swap
^^^^haha^^^^..there'd probably be more gaskets blown at the word"s10" than it would for isuzu...that is until they realize its the same truck..
wlecome...nice project.. lots of build threads here doing what your looking for..use the search bar and it'll take you down that long road... |

Re: bagged isuzu 47-54 ad swap
I have done the 98-03 S10 "save every wire, use every part" swap, twice! a 99 sonoma under a 47 GMC and a 03 S10 under a 49 chevy.
the hardest part is building the mount for the steering column and pedal assembly. besides that though, it is as easy as any other s10 swap. on the main page is an S10 swap how to, I recommend reading up

Re: bagged isuzu 47-54 ad swap
if you intend to use the wiring harness and steering column I would carve out the brake booster/steering column section of the firewall, and a second cutout of the main harness pass through.
You might also want to mock up a steering column/pedal mount while you still have the cab, so you can get the right relationship. reusing all the harness means you need to keep the column and switches and pedals, not much use in trying to make aftermarket stuff interface.
