1980 c30 Fender compability...

Hey folks,
Will front fenders from a 80 c30 fit on a 73 c20? I've seen conflicting info, some saying 73-80 interchange, others saying that 75-80 are the same, but 73-74 are different.

Please help!
Thanks
-Nick

I never heard of a difference between them. 73-80 were all the same I thought.

Re: 1980 c30 Fender compability...

As far as overall fitment goes, Tiger Joe is correct.

However, there are some minor differences on the insides of the early year fenders. For example, the 73-74 (and possibly 75) passenger side fenders have provisions for mounting the jack handle and maybe the lug wrench. While the later years had those items mounted to the inner fender instead. And on the driver side, the early year fenders had a little grooved indentation for the windshield washer reservoir to slide into. While later years attached the reservoir to the fender with a couple of bolts.

But unless you're trying to do a 100% correct restoration, you can easily work around those minor details by using the newer style washer reservoir & jack handle mounting hardware.
