I guess no one has bought from those guys.
So how about these guys.?? http://shop4seats.com/truck-seats/40...-low-back.html I have about 1200.oo to spend on new buckets and a console. I like the low buckets but I'm not sure how high they will be. |

Re: New Bucket Seats
I've used Smittybilt stuff when I had my old Jeep, never had any problems or issues with their products. Heck I kept the center console when I sold my Jeep in case I ever get another. I've never used their seats though, so I have no idea about those or their comfort.

Re: New Bucket Seats
simple 1x1 square tube frame on stock slider tracks .
then set of seats from 2nd row chevy venture / montana style van . man are they comfy yet firm foam . small bolsters and built in driver side cup holder x2 . . . 2 arm rests and recline . score both for 25 bucks each of local craigslist few years back . i might be taking out the head rests maybe . and the center console is a police unit for light switches / cb radio / and few OTHER toys . . . it gives you a tad bit of lift and helps strighten out the legs in the cab for a more comfy ride . for me i might have to drop this one down just a hair off the tracks to solid mounts . . . time will tell . project not done yet .

Re: New Bucket Seats
Sweet K30 - where are you located at - I just did shop4seats in my truck about 3 months ago. If you wanted to look at them in person.
EDIT- Nevermind - I see you are in NY - I am in IA so pretty far away. |

Re: New Bucket Seats
Hope you like them - they are high quality seats. The mounts they send with are not quite right - be ready to drill some new holes to get the seats to fit well.

I just hate it takes so long. I thought they may get them from China but I see they build the seats in Cal. |

Re: New Bucket Seats
I had to re-work my brackets and such to get mine to sit lower- at first I used them the way they come and its a big change from the factory seats as far as height.
I will say - these seats could use some more cab space, they flat-out run out of rear space, if the cab was 1-2" longer than the fit would be better. I could see them being great in a crew cab. I'm still working on getting mine better - but I am disappointed in the lack of design foresight - I sort of feel like they never really tried this in the 73-87 truck themselves. Great seats but they are not plug and play. |
