First Snow and some Fall Color with the '72

Here in SW Colorado, we went from 85-degree days to 60-degree days in the span of a couple days. First in-town freeze was last night. New snow on the La Plata mountains this morning, so I went up to see what was happening up there. As always, figured you guys might like some photos. Enjoy!

The secret to taking a good picture in that setting with that subject matter is you have to have a device that takes pictures. Nice!

Very nice! I'll be taking the family out for a similar drive in the Caddy this coming weekend. Probably no dirt roads tho.

One day I will leave this ever constant 90* sand bar I live on, and live somewhere with more than two seasons.... Summer and Hurricane.

Nice pictures Joey. I heard there was some snow up there. My buddy has a ranch down the airport road a few miles. I was up there a week or so ago and it’s definitely a nice time of year to be in SW Colorado!

Re: First Snow and some Fall Color with the '72

Glad you're all enjoying the photos. Thanks especially to Tim, I'm glad you appreciate my skills as an amateur photographer! Only really happy with the first one anyway, the others were just snapshots.

Tyler, the Florida Mesa (out around your buddy's ranch) is a great place to be this time of year! I love the big sky, big views, and smelling the last cutting of hay.

Mr. Handy, if you're not sick of hurricanes after this season, don't know what would get you there...

That's a bunch! Just looked at the point forecast and where my higher photos were taken will be under about 18" of snow 36 hours from now. High country is shut down for the year, glad I got up there when I did!
