I finished my back bumper by welding the diamond plate on top.

The factory radio had those little knobs and the dash did too. So I just bend the tabs back so technically I did cut it a little

Re: 1970 k/20 project

Nice work on the truck. I wouldn't worry about if the dash is cut or not too much IMO. If you ever want to put it back to original, it isn't that big of a thing to fix. Plus, I'd rather have a CD player in the dash and not under the seat or what ever. But that is just my opinion. My truck is so modified a non original radio is no thing to me.

Re: 1970 k/20 project

Also found a set of west coast mirrors for my truck at klingers junkyard. Both mirrors and everything for $30 bucks! I couldn't pass it up and I always wanted and liked the look of them.

Here is pic with them on and mounted. Also I just bought two new mirrors from advanced auto because I broke the drivers side so I just bought two right away and they really close the factory.

Awesome truck! It's always great to see a teenager that loves old iron and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. We need more kids like you in this country.

if you put the 4:10 rear axle in, is the front also a 4:10?
