Big Block Chevy fitment questions
Stock location of the small block is the desired set.
Will be using a rack and pinion set up Need headers We removed the heater/blower box. Any advice from the folks that went down this road? Thank you |

Hi Robert,
It wil be tough getting the big block back that far due to the firewall clearance unless you use a BFH and "massage" the area real good. use the 68-71 or 72 big block mounts and your life will me much much easier as they drop in on the 6cyl frame mounting holes. go through my thread I am dropping a tall deck in my truck right now and hows clearances and all that Headers I used the heddman 68-87 big block headers and had no problems getting them to clear the frame. the rack n pinion I am not sure on that one as I converted my truck to a newer gear box.
