I like how in my '86 brochure pic they used an obsolete photo (has '73-80 side trim) to demonstrate the tailgate removal.
It's obvious I didn't review that brochure before it went to print.... (lol)

I wonder if they had Photoshop type stuff back then because that truck in my post is in a few brochures I have and the one in the 1987 brochure has the Electronic Fuel Injection badge on the top left of the tailgate and the other brochures do not have it .
