Suspension gurus help needed

My truck rides terrible . Previous owner said front was lowered 3 inches with coils . Rear five inches with coils and block with an adjustable trac bar . I've tried different wheels with bigger sidewalles , still rides like a wagon , bounces everywhere. I don't know the brand of shock or springs used. However everything seems to soft .

I'm to the point of ordering lowering spindles , new shocks , and springs.

Those are stock type shocks. Might be binding up when compressed.

Your centerlink is installed backwards!
The inner tie rod castle nuts should be on the front side of the centerlink.

I agree, this happens so often it needs to be some sorta sticky.

I bet your steering is real twitchy.
It even looks as if your outer tie rods are bent from the steering binding up.
Once you swap that centerlink around she will drive a lot better.

All of the above is true. Also those rubber band tires have almost no sidewall to absorb much of the bumps.

The rear shocks need to have relocation kits installed as they are running at nearly 45 degrees...instead of 8 degrees....

The center link is backwards as previously noted...need to reverse it and replace the bent steering tie rods...

I suspect the front shocks look to be bottoming out...I suspect if you took them off they would have zero resistance left...the front upper mounts also need the re-enforcement pieces added.

I also suspect the spindles are not stock...they look like 2" drop units to me...

So if you have 2" drop spindles and 3" drop coils you are down 5" which will require shorter front shocks....

The look like stock height disc brake spindles to me.
The center of the spindle is in line with the tie rod arm.
But I'd need a better picture to confirm that.

With 3" lower springs in the front, you may have a bump steer issue. Does it try to change lanes when you hit a bump?

I plan on lowering mine with an ECE 4/6 lowering kit.

Those socks are basic Monroe Monro-matic Plus. About the cheapest shocks you can buy. So that is likely not helping ride quality.

Also, you appear to have no bumps stops whatsoever front or rear. So if something bottoms out you go straight to metal on metal contact. The front upper bump stops prevent the suspension from dropping too much and letting the spring loose when unloaded. I would put something back in there for sure if it is a 3" drop spring.

I bought the front upper shock relocators from Brothers for my build and I like them. For the rear I bought No Limit shock relocators and they are pretty nice too.
