A year and a half later and there's been a few changes!
I ended up doing an Edelbrock head, intake, cam and carb kit on the motor. Installed Vintage Air, power steering and a Tremec TKO 500. In addition I pulled the tank out of the cab and installed one under the bed. Using A/C this summer caused some cooling issues, but I got a beefy alternator and a Lincoln Mark VII electric fan which has worked fantastic! I've been on a quest to quiet down some wind noise and have been replacing most of the seals and weatherstripping in the cab as well.

A year and a half has made some big differences for myself as well. With a better job and the seasons changing, I'm enjoying the truck for what's likely to be the final few days of the year before I start some work this winter.
I have a set of Wilwood brakes for all 4 corners, I've ordered up the parts to rebuild the rear differential and change over to a 3.73 posi-traction. The windshield needs replaced and the seal on the rear window is shot, so when I pull those I plan to repaint the inside of the cab. Truck also needs rewired. Partially thanks to me being a teenager when I first got the truck the wiring is pretty gummed up. Since I'm taking the cab apart I figured that's probably about the best time to re-wire the thing.

I'd imagine that'll keep me busy for most of the winter. There will be a few other little things along the way. Probably end up replacing the carpet and I've been considering ordering new seat skins, but also contemplating the nice new bucket seats in the LMC catalog as they're a few bucks cheaper and might allow for more leg room.

In the mean time maybe I'll look into getting pictures up again and taking some more along the journey.
