Factory tach underhood pics
Could someone with a factory tach setup please post some pics of the engine bay where the tach signal wire comes through the firewall? I'm looking to add the tach to my truck and have the factory harness with grommet and just want to know where to drill the hole. Thanks for any help

I'm new to the sight and need to properly introduce myself on the welcome page but thought I would try to help. This is a picture of my 1980 Chevy with factory tach, not sure if it's the same location as a '77. It's the yellow wire. Hopefully I can get this photo to load.

Re: Factory tach underhood pics
That above pic is correct indeed for 73-80 trucks. 1981-up the tach wire pops out near the accelerator cable. I added one to my 77 High Sierra truck build but I also added the tach filter too.
