2006 2WD brake issues
My problem with my 06 4.3 1500 2WD Crew Cab is with the anti lock brake , they activate when there's no reason they should . Hoping this is something I can fix myself just don't know where to start. I just replaced the rear, maybe brake lines could use a bleeding still some air in the lines. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks Nick NGN |

Re: 2006 2WD brake issues
Hard to say what's going on without diagnostic tools, but VERY common for these to get debris on the wheel speed sensors and cause low speed ABS activation. In each front hub, there is a small magnetic speed sensor, it reads wheel speed from the tone ring inside the hub. Remove the sensor, clean it and the mounting surface very well, then lubricate and re-install. Also, if you have a small magnet, place it in the hole and see if any debris comes out (it should not). Re-test. After that, your ABS activation could be a bad sensor, wiring, or hub assembly. Hard to say which without diagnostic ability though. Try what I recommended first!
