body drop?
I was reading a few mags over the weekend, and there were a few trucks that they mentioned the guys did a 4" and some others did a 3" body drop. what is a body drop? is that like a normal suspension drop or what are they refering to?

Back in the day ('50s) they called it "channeling", but what it means is that the body/floorpan is lowered over the frame rails by various methods...cutting out the floorpan and welding it back in is common, but a lot of work no matter how it is done. It's a way of lowering a vehicle without sacrificing quality of ride by reducing suspension travel...
