I have the ability to purchase a 1995, lwb 4X4 truck that has been involved in a rollover very cheap. Just wanted to ask if it would be possible to swap a 1972 body over and retain the 1995 motor, trans and transfer and frame?

i have never heard of it being done with that late of a truck but there is always a first time for everything, sounds like a neat project

If the wheel base is the same, then I'd imagine a mild body lift (to level out the body) may be the hardest part.

I am trying to do the same with a 92 3500 dually. I will try and keep you posted on the process. I was doing some measurements yesterday and everything appears that it is going to be ok.
