WTT 12 bolt posi w/ 3.73 gears

I have a 12 bolt 3 series truck posi with 3.73 r&p in good shape that I would like to trade for a 3 series 12bolt car posi in good shape.
If anyone is interested in a trade (preferred) let me know.

The car and truck carriers are different. The car posi carriers won't work in truck rear ends. He needs the car carrier.

what is series 3?

As I recall, three series is the carrier for stock gears up to 3.42 for trucks. The four series is for stock gears over 3.42. You can get after market gears for the three series carrier greater than 3.42 and in this case 3.73. I believe the after market gears are thicker to fit properly in the three series carrier.

It is a factory 3.73 chunk. I was thinking the 3 series was 3.08 to 3.90 gears but I could be wrong. Mocwon may be right on this.

68 TPI - this is a limited slip, "posi-traction" (GMs name for it) Right now I prefer a trade, as I am needing one for my Camaro, hoping someone may have a passenger carrier they don't need. Will look, but I might have a second one laying around. (I have truck parts, but can't find car parts around here)

Scott - jman is right I need a 3 series (I know they go from 3.08 -3.90) car (Passenger- GM term) carrier.

Virgil,

I have a posi from a 2nd gen Camaro, the gears were around 2:73 or could be a 3:08. Let me know if this is what you need. I would be interested in a trading and we both take care of shipping, if that sounds good to you.

Thanks.
