I do not see why you could not just glue it as long as the glue does not get into the spring and bind things up.
Is your original little red "bulged" retainer still good? if so just use it.

That's what I was thinking too...

Of course, upon further inspection, one other thing popped up. Now I notice that the new plunger is longer than the old one. Should it be?


I don't understand why this has to be so difficult! LOL
