WTB Low Back Bucket Seats

I am looking for both the driver and passenger seats as well as the console for my 1977 Chevy K30. The truck originally came with the buckets new. Somewhere along the line of previous owners they were removed. It doesn稚 matter what the condition is just as long as the stitching pattern is still somewhat legible for the upholster to go by. They were blue but like I said any shape or color should work, within reason. I値l post a pic of what I知 looking for. Thanks.

Re: WTB Low Back Bucket Seats

Just curious how you know they were low back or high back buckets? 77 was the split year. I have a set of high back buckets with factory truck brackets with floor tabs. The low back buckets probably had the square seat belt style console and the high back had the round cup holder style. Just a bit of info. PM me if interested.

I am aware of the half year seat change. I知 not 100% positive on the low back but just assumed because of the rub marks just below the rear window on both sides. This is the first time I have dealt with bucket seats. I also thought trucks with the shoulder belts came with cup holder style consoles and the earlier trucks that came with lap belts had the square style to store the buckles with ash tray. I値l try to figure out with the documents in the dash when the truck was made. I really appreciate your help.

Re: WTB Low Back Bucket Seats

I have a set from a blazer and an aftermarket console. They are rough looking but solid.
I can post some pictures tonight if you don't find a set today and still interested.

The 77 i have with factory bucket seats has the cup holder style console. It is original to the truck. Trucks with the 3 point style seat belts have cup holders. The early square holed consoles were in trucks with lap belts only. My truck has low backs also.

Thanks for clearing up the console issue. I was pretty confident mine had the cup holders according to the sales brochures. Your interior looks great, mine is blue also. Does your console just bolt directly to the floor in the rear or does it have leveling brackets? I thought my parts book showed them? Not sure. One other thing, I知 not sure how the passenger rear inside seat mount bolts to the floor? There is s large hole for the seat belt but no small hole for the seat bracket? According to my parts book looks like I知 missing some support brackets for the rear? Let me know what yours has. Thanks so much. Matt

Re: WTB Low Back Bucket Seats

I will tell you the leveling brackets were for the Blazers as they had flat floors

Re: WTB Low Back Bucket Seats

Sorry to troll your WTB thread but I'm good to anyways...

Was 77 and under low back with cup holders and 77+ high back without cup holders?

Curious- I never knew the buckets looked so good!

Re: WTB Low Back Bucket Seats

This is my first truck with factory buckets and as mentioned earlier in this thread 1977 did come with low backs but was also a transition year to high backs. 1978 and later were all high back. Trucks with three point seat belts came with the cup holders and earlier models with lap belts had the square holes with ash tray in between. They are nice looking seats and a hard to find truck that came with them.

Re: WTB Low Back Bucket Seats

Interesting thread, hope you don't mind me jumping this thread. Are the 77 low back seats the same as the early low back seats (70-72)and are GMC Jimmy the same as blazer seats. The reason I ask ,I have a set of low back seats out of a 77 Jimmy and need to recover and re foam them. Can I buy the early stuff as they are more available(color) than the later seats (will they fit).Note the seats I have are exactly the same as the seats that IllinoisK30 has in his pic, same chrome sq. in center of back rest

Re: WTB Low Back Bucket Seats

I知 not sure on the buckets seat similarity痴. I thought I heard that maybe the frames were the same from early trucks to the later ones. There are some guys/gals on here that know way more about the bucket seats than I. Hopefully they will chime in and voice some answers.

Re: WTB Low Back Bucket Seats

in my recent research I read the foam is the same as 70-72. I imagine the frames are but can't be sure.
