Factory grill guard: what's it worth?
Found a factory grill guard at the local boneyard today.
I've got a pretty good handle on what my era grill guards are worth ('60-'66), and my buddy is up to day on '55-'59 guards. No clue what a '73-'80 factory guard is worth though. Basically, is it worth getting to flip it at the swap meet, or sell here? -Brad

thats a military unit by the looks i think .
73-80 style would have been canada only military and 81-up style would be us military style. this is if its all correct and not mix/matched on that truck.

It's hard to see in the photo, but the center mounting brackets at the bottom are contoured perfectly to the bumper, including the bead that runs across the face of it.

CUCV brush guard, yours looks similar as the factory GM one didn't have the curved ends. They usually bring at least a Franklin if they are straight.

I would be interested in it if it’s as straight as it looks and you still have it. Let me know. Thanks.

Re: Factory grill guard: what's it worth?
Any rare or odd factory/dealer options are worth grabbing at the junkyards. There is always some guy that wants that part and no one remakes it yet so used is his only hope.

Pretty much this, I'd love one. It would be a really nice touch to my truck.

Re: Factory grill guard: what's it worth?
I use to hit the junk yards when i was younger and grabbed any rare option i seen on cars and trucks i knew then sold them on ebay.I made a ok living doing that but today the junkyards here are like pull a part they crush stuff fast now nothing sits for months to a year.
